...or a total waste of time
WebDrag, was part of the project that I developed for the thesis, aka “A cms for on-the-fly deploy of web pages, using technologies like LAMP/WAMP and DHTML".
It worked only under Mozilla and it lacked several important features . In order to use it, user should have fantasy and patience.
WebDrag, this the definitive name, is a term that has a simple semantic, that is not limiting for eventual future expansions (yeah maybe).
A name not overused like similar solutions (css editor, creator, generator etc)
There are many bugs in this beta, some intentional, some unpredictable, other mysterious…
Feel free to try this demo and please, leave your opinions, suggestions, insults and spam. Much better if you use WebDrag as comments tool.
By the way I have mainly written it for my personal use.
Coming soon features:
But now stop talking:
"Ladies and gentleman here you are"
Tested on
Mozilla Firefox, versions 1 to 1.5, under Windows
Linux and Mac OsX. On Mac if the scrollbar are activated, when a box is deleted the "ghosts" of the scrollbar remain.
Internet Explorer 6, generates errors but works
Opera 9 is succeeded to design the box but not to move them, with Work 8 it is impossible to draw.
N.B if something goes worst than planned a shift+reload (or command+r with OsX) of the page should fix all.
You can only create three pages at the moment.
More Server-side work has to come, in the future...
The compromise resolution at the moment is 1024x768... yes the toolbars are still gross.
I would like to thanks beta tester friends like Zingus, Dreadnaut and Ivan.
The MeasureIt extension for the ruler idea, Quirksmode and many many other side.
Thank you for your time
